Banque Mauritanienne pour le Commerce International, is a private local bank, established in 1974 under the name of the Arab African Bank in Mauritania, as a partnership between the Mauritanian government and the Arab African International Bank in Egypt, and in 1984 the government share was sold to Abbas Group and its name was changed To become the Arab African Mauritanian Bank, and in 1986 the Abbas Group bought the rest of the shares, and its name was changed to the Mauritanian Bank for International Trade (BMCI), and it provides banking services through a network of branches.
